MEXICO CITY.- The video circulates on social networks showing that a collapse occurred inside the General Hospital of Zone No. 89 of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) located in Guadalajara, Jalisco.
This hospital is located in the Agustín Yáñez Avenue of the Modern colony, in GuadalajaraJalisco
So far the causes of the collapse are unknown; It is also not known if there are any injuries.
In the images shared on social networks, a large hole in the ceiling and debris scattered on the floor of a hallway can be seen.

Civil Protection and Firefighters of Guadalajara reported that Comprehensive Risk Management personnel are already evaluating the situation.
IMSS will issue a ruling after hospital collapse
After the collapse was announced, the agency reported that there were no injuries.
Through an official statement, the agency confirmed the fall of one part of the roof in a transit corridor adjacent to the operating room area, located on the first floor of the hospital.
Likewise, they pointed out that the ceilings will be removed and a ruling will be made regarding the structure to find out the reason for what happened.
“No injuries were reported. The Civil Protection protocol was immediately activated and they proceeded to evacuate and delimit access to the area, establishing a security perimeter. In conjunction with the municipal Civil Protection services, the causes are evaluated to proceed with the immediate rehabilitation of the affected area,” indicated the IMSS.
In this sense, they explained that carry out cleaning and structural analysis actions to continue with scheduled surgeries. And they assured that the rest of the services such as Emergencies, Hospitalization, Outpatient Consultation and Pharmacy operate normally.
