Collaborative Financing in Morocco: A New Era of Fundraising for Small Businesses

Collaborative financing, or crowdfunding, is regarding to emerge in Morocco. Nezha Hayat, president of the Moroccan Capital Market Authority (AMMC), announced in an interview with La Nouvelle Tribune that the operationalization of this new financing method is imminent.

The regulatory framework that will govern collaborative financing has already been finalized, and the launch of this activity is planned in the near future, according to Nezha Hayat. The AMMC has already established an approval process for crowdfunding platforms and will begin processing applications as soon as the activity is officially launched.

Financial inclusion is a key goal, and financial education plays a key role in this. Nezha Hayat stressed that the AMMC is making enormous efforts to promote financial education in Morocco. Awareness and popularization campaigns are carried out on various platforms and aim to reach a wide audience.
