Collaborative Agreement for Free Medical-Surgical Sessions in Tlaxcala: INRLGII and State Government Join Forces

The general director of the “Luis Guillermo Ibarra Ibarra” National Rehabilitation Institute (INRLGII), Carlos Pineda Villaseñor, together with the governor of Tlaxcala, Lorena Cuéllar Cisneros, and the entity’s Secretary of Health, Rigoberto Zamudio Meneses, signed an agreement collaboration to carry out free medical-surgical sessions for people without social security in the state.

In the context of the agreement, effective August 1, 2027, INRLGII specialists will train health professionals from Tlaxcala, in person and remotely, in specialties such as audiology, phoniatrics, language pathology, orthopedics, medicine rehabilitation, burn care, sports medicine, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology and anesthesiology.

Likewise, courses, workshops and symposiums will be held aimed at promoting continuous training and updating of knowledge of health personnel in Tlaxcala, as well as the exchange and rotation of specialists to raise the quality of care for people with disabilities.

The institute and the state government will join forces and resources to provide specialized medical services, from diagnosis, treatment, surgical interventions, placement of prostheses and orthoses to rehabilitation, as well as the transfer of patients treated in medical units of the Ministry of Health of Tlaxcala to INRLGII.

During the signing of the agreement, Governor Cuéllar Cisneros, the Secretary of Health, Zamudio Meneses and the general director Pineda Villaseñor, highlighted the importance of this agreement to improve specialized care in Tlaxcala.

The governor expressed her gratitude to the INRLGII and stressed that this agreement represents a valuable opportunity to enhance care for patients in vulnerable situations.
