Chelsea mix and match in the Premier League.

But Cole Palmer is hotness.

At home once morest Everton, the 21-year-old opened the scoring following 13 minutes and five minutes later he added his second.

But he wasn’t done there.

Utilized goalkeeper board

In the 29th minute, he took advantage of a sloppy pass from Everton’s Jordan Pickford and sent the ball into the open goal from long range.

– The first 30 minutes went so quickly. We started well and to score a hat-trick once more… I’m very happy, says Palmer Sky Sports.

Bizarre punishment scenes

Cole Palmer then made it 5-0 on a penalty in the 64th minute. But before the penalty kick, bizarre scenes unfolded.

Palmer and Noni Madueke both went down in the penalty area within seconds and the referee opted to blow a penalty following the latter’s situation.

Palmer is the team’s regular penalty taker but Madueke took the ball and wanted to take the penalty. It didn’t like Palmer who tried to take the ball from Madueke at the same time Nicolas Jackson stormed into the situation whereupon Palmer pushed him away.

– Other players wanted to take it, which is understandable when it was 4-0. But I’m the penalty taker and I wanted to take it so I took it, says Palmer.

He continues:

– We want to show that we take responsibility, maybe it was a bit of a boundary with the quarrel and that, but everyone just wants to help. It wasn’t a big deal, we laugh and joke regarding it now.

Coach Mauricio Pochettino was anything but happy with the players’ actions.

– It is shameful. We cannot behave like this. I told them this is the last time they behave like that, he says.

Palmer has now scored ten goals in his last five league games and is joint top scorer in the Premier League with Erling Haaland with 20 goals.

Chelsea won 6–0.
