On Monday, Cole Caufield suffered a major blow in the game once morest the Calgary Flames. He therefore left the match of his family, which was not very reassuring in his case.
And this, even if all his teammates hammered that he was fine following the game.
We knew that the American is with the club in Ottawa, which is a good sign, but nothing assured us that he was going to be able to play tonight’s match.
And now this morning he was one of us. He trained like the others. He’s a real one and it shows just by his enthusiasm.

Does that ensure he will play tonight? His mere presence on the ice does not allow us to conclude anything, but when we look at the lines for tonight, we can expect to see him return.
The same goes for Jonathan Drouin, who replaced Rem Pitlick in the fourth-line lineup. Because yes, the CH finally has depth in health.

This means that the #27 is healthy and will probably have the mandate to play in the center. He’s missed the last month of activity and he’ll have to find a way to stand out in the center of Joel Armia and Michael Pezzetta.
The rest of the lineup is quite similar to the last days.
As we learned yesterday following optional training, it is Samuel Montembeault who will have the mandate to slow down the Senators. Jake Allen should therefore play tomorrow once morest the Ducks.
Montembeault has every reason to perform well tonight.
The Canadian won’t have to face Tim Stutzle, who is one of the club’s (many) injured players https://t.co/pwJ1IMgXGJ

Prolongation
Going to Cap Friendly, we see that the name of Sean Monahan has been placed on the injured list. It was expected to make room for Drouin.
Remember that Monahan, as announced yesterday, will miss a few weeks of play.
Condition of the injured:
Monahan and Savard out for two to three weeks
Drouin day to day, will make the trip to Ottawa
Matheson will not make the trip → https://t.co/9NUNVXmkvu— DansLesCoulisses (@DLCoulisses) December 13, 2022
