Al-Marsad Newspaper: The world celebrates Men’s Day on November 19 of each year. The day set by the Committee for Addressing Youth and Adult Issues aims to honor and enhance the role of men in society and support gender equality.

Prostate cancer is one of the most common diseases faced by men.

And regarding some uncommon facts regarding prostate cancer that many may not know:

1. Prostate cancer mostly survives men: The survival rate for this cancer is high compared to other types of cancer. Doctors say that 95 percent of all prostate cancer cases are caught while the cancer is still inside the prostate, so it becomes easier to identify and treat. At least 99 percent of men who are diagnosed with prostate cancer live for at least 5 years following diagnosis, hence early detection is key to treatment, according to “timesnownews”.

2. Prostate cancer also affects young men: Doctors point out that in men under the age of 40, cancer is more aggressive, spreads faster, and is more difficult to treat. Therefore, any changes in your routine should be reported to the doctor immediately and a proper examination should be carried out.

3. Symptoms of prostate cancer are similar to many other conditions: Symptoms of prostate cancer are very common and can resemble symptoms of a urinary tract infection or other infection, and some men do not show any symptoms, so it is difficult to detect until an advanced stage when the cancer has spread aggressively.
