The authorities supervised the compliance with sanitary regulations in operating room areasthe blood sampling center, ultrasound and X-ray unit and pharmacy at the IMSS-Bienestar Villa de Álvarez Hospital.

The owner of Cofepris, Alexander Svarch indicated that in this visit and tour of the territory, “we verified that we are fulfilling the historical mission of guaranteeing the population quality access to hospital services. Let us remember that when it comes to health, access without quality cannot be called access”.

“Both institutions are working so that the Mexican State is capable of guaranteeing hospital quality, regardless of whether a baby is born in the city of Colima, in Tapachula, Chiapas or in the Zongolica mountains,” he stated.

In turn, the general director of the Health Services of the Mexican Social Security Institute for WelfareGisela Lara indicated that since the joint work with Cofepris began, approximately two months ago, significant progress has been made, which allows increasing the number of certified IMSS-Binestar hospitals.

“Starting in April we received the instruction from the President of the Republic to integrate the hospitals of the different states where agreements are made with the governors for the implementation of the model. It is regarding homogeneous care processes, ”he commented.
