A call to action for technologists

Pink Tech Day started small, but has grown into a broader global movement, complete with an annual benefit concert and silent auction. This third annual Pink Tech Day benefit concert, taking place on October 10 in New York, will feature a silent auction and a performance by Grammy-nominated Pink Sweat$. All profits from the concert, including ticket sales, go directly to the BCRF to fund breast cancer research.

Technologists who cannot attend the charity gala can participate in other ways, such as posting a photo on social media dressed in pink or with a pink bow and sharing it with the hashtag #TechInPink2024along with why the cause is important to you. Raising awareness through social networks is the basis of Pink Technology Day, and a good way to start if you want to participate.

Organizations and technologists are also encouraged to Find new ways to raise awareness around Pink Tech Day, whether through donations or organizing your own events around the cause. For example, in 2021, Estee Lauder’s Women in Technology and Women in Supply Chain Groups hosted an annual Pink Tech Day marathon, which has helped attract more companies, partners and donors.
