The soda giant Coca Cola announced a new version of its iconic drink called “Coca-Cola Starlight”, which according to the company, tastes like a trip to space.
The new drink is the first product from a new “innovation platform” known as Coca-Cola Creations, which involves the use of augmented reality technology and that according to some mediamight be officially presented with a virtual concert with the American singer Ava Max.
Coca-Cola Starlight would be launched next week, however, unlike other variants of the soda, such as Coca-Cola Vanilla or Coca-Cola Cherry, the product description is as vague as it is elaborate.
According to the company, Coca-Cola Starlight (starlight in Spanish) has “notes reminiscent of looking at the stars around a campfire, as well as the refreshing sensation caused by a cold trip to space.”
Shrouded in mystery some users of the Reddit platform who said they had seen Coca-Cola Starlight a few months ago on the internet shared some theories regarding its taste.
As bizarre as it may seem, the one that would make the most sense from a scientific perspective are those that suggest that the drink would taste like raspberry, and that is that according to a note published in the English newspaper The Guardian in 2009 points out that, according to astronomers, the center of the Milky Way would taste of raspberries and smell of rum.
For its part, a youtuber who said he had tried the drink said that Coca-Cola Starlight tastes like chocolate and graham crackers, a mix that prompted another Reddit user to point out that the new drink will then taste like marshmallows.
Anyway, the world will come out of the mystery next week.
