“Cobradiezmos”, a bull that made an era, dies

The bull “Cobradiezmos” will be part of the history of the brave festival.

Killed yesterday in an enclosure at Victorino Martín‘s ranch, the famous bull pardoned after his fight by Manuel Escribano in the Real Maestranza of Seville in 2016, was remembered as one of the best specimens that have been fought in recent years.

In January 2018, in Plaza Mérida, Escribano remembered what he had experienced with that specimen, light blue, and highlighted its benefits for the bullfight, pointing it out as one of his best moments. Yesterday, he said that “He is the bull of my life. “It has been, is and will be the history of bullfighting.”

Television was key to that task on April 13, 2016 at the Maestranza. The social networks that spread bullfighting reacted yesterday with the announcement of the crowned “A” livestock house, highlighting the qualities of that bull. The video was the most viewed yesterday on the bull planet.

Its owner, Victorino Martín García, said that “Cobradiezmos” died from a fight with other bulls. “We are going to dissect it from python to tail and then we will think about where it will rest forever. “He has left his mark on the history of bullfighting and livestock farming.”

Escribano spoke of the bull. One of his expressions to mundotoro.com was: “There is a crucial moment, which is when I gave the first batch, when everyone already saw the bull. The qualities, how he attacked, how he humiliated, how he repeated… Just as people had already seen it, I saw it, but I saw beyond it. At the height of the bullfight, a bad thought came to me: ‘Be careful Manuel, if you don’t break this bull, your career will end here.’ But immediately I answered myself and said ‘It’s the bull I want and I know what the bull wants’, and I got a smile in the middle of the task and I broke up with him. Everything started to happen. I didn’t think about the pardon until people started asking for it, because it was a bull that asked for total concentration muleta blow by muleta blow. But when they started asking for it in the shops, I already knew that I was going to pardon him.’
