Cobots, imaging and hydrogen are all the rage at Global Industrie

It is impossible to list all the innovations presented at the Global Industrie show in Lyon this week. If we had to retain a few salient points, no doubt we should be interested in the robot vs. cobot match? On the right, the robot represented by the giants of the sector: Fanuc, Mazak, Kuka, ABB, and their host of installers and resellers. The organizers have isolated a village of robotics, but overall, the robot is everywhere. As at Rexroth, a subsidiary of the Bosch group, determined not to be confined to photocopiers.

On the left, in its corner and still relatively isolated, just following the village of start-ups, the cobot, which can accompany manual tasks, without eliminating them completely. Is it really needed in the France factory, which is catching up on automation? Isn’t it just a last resort, and shouldn’t we leave it to the logisticians?
