The Cobas Roche 5 800 is the name of a new molecular biology device which has just been equipped with the laboratory of the CHOG (Hospital Center of Western Guyana). This machine was designed to generate reports of sexually transmitted infections, but not only.

This device was created to deal with epidemics in order to better respond to the very strong increase in requests for STI (sexually transmitted infections) assessments and their very high prevalence in the West.
The CHOG laboratory is the first to be equipped with this technology in the Antilles-Guyana. Western French Guiana is equipping itself with an extremely efficient tool to meet demand and cope with population growth.
