Muscat: A group of foreigners who tried to sneak into Oman by sea were caught by the Royal Oman Police Coastal Guard. The Coastal Guard seized the boat they were using from the sea area belonging to Muscat Governorate. According to a statement released by the Royal Oman Police, twenty-eight people were arrested. The statement also stated that legal action has been taken once morest those arrested.

Riyadh: Investigations to find violators continue in Saudi Arabia. 16,899 law breakers were caught in Saudi Arabia within a week. 16,899 people were arrested for violating residence, employment and border security rules in various areas. The Home Ministry said the arrests were made during a joint search conducted by various units of the security forces across the country.
11,033 people were arrested for violating residence rules, 3,493 for violating border security rules and 2,373 for violating labor laws. 769 people were arrested while trying to cross the border into the country. Of these, 39 percent are Yemenis, 58 percent are Ethiopians, and 3 percent are from other countries. 80 lawbreakers were caught trying to cross the border to leave Saudi Arabia. 11 people were arrested for smuggling and harboring people who violate residence and labor regulations.
A total of 52,369 violators are currently being processed for contravening the regulations. Out of which 46,431 are male and 5,938 are female. Of these, 46,743 offenders were referred to their diplomatic missions to obtain travel documents. 1,716 violators were referred to the respective diplomatic offices to complete their travel reservations. 9,147 violators were deported within a week. The Ministry of Interior has warned that anyone who facilitates the entry of infiltrators into the country or provides transport, shelter or any other aid or service will be punished with imprisonment of up to 15 years and a maximum fine of 10 lakh riyals.
