Nati coach Nielsen deletes seven players
The first squad reduction in the women’s national team affects seven players. They have to leave the Swiss EM camp following just four days.

The Swiss monster squad in the EM camp is getting smaller!
After the first four days of training ahead of the Euros in England in July, national team coach Nils Nielsen is dropping the first seven players from the team. Of the 34 names, there are still 27 left for the second EM camp phase starting Monday.
Of the nine predefined candidates for shaking, two to three might have survived the first cut. But Nielsen has only given the two Italian mercenaries Vanessa Bernauer (33, Roma) and Nina Stapelfeldt (27, Milan) the ticket to continue the camp. The SFV reports that they have earned their place with strong training performances.
Playoff finalists go home
For Stefanie da Eira (Seville), Elvira Herzog (Cologne), Sally Julini (Guingamp) and Thais Hurni (Servette), Naomi Mégroz, Nadine Riesen and Seraina Piubel (all FCZ ) the EM dream has already burst.
The fact that the finalists did not exactly have an advantage mentally and physically compared to Bernauer and Stapelfeldt, who had already ended the season in Italy in mid-May, should not have been an insignificant detail.
Nielsen will announce the final EM squad with 23 names on June 21 in Zurich.
