Jurgen Klinsmann (59), the coach of the national soccer team, received an opposing player’s uniform for his son after the friendly match against Wales.
On the 8th (Korean time), a short interview video with Coach Klinsmann, conducted after the friendly match against Wales, was posted on the social media of BBC Sports Wales.
In this video, the BBC reporter said to Coach Klinsmann, “I saw them exchanging uniforms after the game. Please explain why you took Wales Aaron Ramsey’s uniform.”
Then Coach Klinsmann said, “I have a son who plays as a goalkeeper for the Los Angeles Galaxy in MLS.”
“I received a text message from my son this afternoon, and it said, ‘Can you get (Ramsey’s) uniform?’” he explained, before smiling.
Coach Klinsmann’s son Jonathan Klinsmann (26) is also a soccer player and a goalkeeper who joined MLS LA Galaxy in 2020.
The national soccer team led by Coach Klinsmann drew 0-0 with Wales in an evaluation match held at Cardiff City Stadium in Wales, England.
Coach Klinsmann recorded no wins, 3 draws, and 2 losses in the 5 games he has played since taking office.
