Coach Fernando Santos has been sacked as Portuguese coach

Portuguese coach Fernando Santos has been sacked following Portugal’s World Cup quarter-final loss to African powerhouses Morocco.

The news of the sacking of the coach was released by the Portuguese Football Federation. In 2014, Santos was appointed as the head coach of the Portugal football team. The 68-year-old Santos’ demotion from the team came with two years remaining on his contract.
