The number of employees declared to the National Social Security Fund (CNSS), under the general regime, reached 4 million in 2023, compared to 3.7 million in 2022, announced Friday in Casablanca, the Minister of Economy and finance, Nadia Fettah.
In a speech during the Board of Directors (December 2023 session) of the CNSS, Fettah also reported an increase in the declared payroll, from 185 billion dirhams (billion dirhams) in 2022 to 204.4 billion dirhams per year. last year, noting that the contributions payable for recovery stood at 30.8 billion dirhams, compared to 28 billion dirhams a year earlier.
In 2023, the rate of collection of contributions due remained at 93%, she noted, noting an increase in income from forced collection which increased from 3 billion dirhams in 2022 to 4.25 billion dirhams in 2023. .
Regarding the basic Compulsory Health Insurance (AMO) scheme for employees, the number of beneficiaries reached 9.8 million people, for an increase in contributions payable for recovery to 10.8 billion dirhams (9.2 billion dirhams). in 2022), according to the minister.
Incidentally, the amount of compensation due stood at MAD 7.6 billion in 2023, compared to MAD 6.5 billion the previous year, she underlined.
And to specify that with regard to professionals, self-employed workers and self-employed persons carrying out a liberal activity, the number of main insured persons increased to 1.9 million, while the contributions due reached 3.4 billion dirhams ( 3.1 billion dirhams in 2022). The amount of compensation due amounted to MAD 1.3 billion in 2023, compared to MAD 500 million a year earlier.
Furthermore, Fettah underlined the commitment to the implementation of the royal project relating to the generalization of social protection and the provisions of the related laws, ensuring that the government is working towards the implementation within the set deadlines of framework law 09.21 relating to social protection, following having passed the compulsory health insurance component.
In this wake, she continued, the CNSS action plan for 2024 and its three-year program 2024-2026, are focused on consolidating efforts for the generalization of social protection, the acceleration of digitalization , improving the quality of services, reforming the recovery system and combating social fraud, continuing the fight once morest fraud with the aim of obtaining compensation and controlling AMO expenses.
They also focus on the development of financial and accounting systems, the promotion of human capital and the strengthening of communication at internal and external levels, said the minister.
