CNE website is active again

CNE website is active! This Monday, August 26, the National Electoral Council (CNE) announced that its website is active again for all users.

Following the presidential elections on July 28, the CNE’s website was damaged by cyber attacks as a result of the opposition’s plans for a coup d’état.

In judgment No. 031 dated August 22, 2024, issued by the Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice, the massive cyber attack that affected the Venezuelan Electoral System was confirmed and the governing body of the electoral processes was urged to publish the final results of the presidential elections of July 28.

In this context, the CNE indicated through a statement that in compliance with the TSJ ruling, it will abide by the publication of the final results.

The Electoral Power, in compliance with the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the laws, abides by the decision of the TSJ regarding the electoral process carried out on July 28, and within the legal period will comply with what was ordered by the Electoral Chamber of the TSJ. pic.twitter.com/RnHnlB2MOE

The ruling issued by the highest judicial body in the country strictly, unequivocally and unquestionably confirms that the electoral material examined on the electoral results announced by the CNE declares Nicolás Maduro the winner of the presidency for the constitutional period 2025-2031.
