CNE speaks out against the ruling of the Electoral Chamber of the TSJ (+Press Release)

The National Electoral Council (CNE) issued a statement on Monday, August 26, in response to the ruling of the Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ).

In this regard, the CNE indicates in the text that they received notification of judgment No. 031 dated August 22, 2024 issued by the Electoral Chamber of the TSJ.

Ruling confirming the re-election of President Nicolás Maduro for the period 2025-2031. It is also argued that it is supported by the expert opinion.

Similarly, the statement points out that the TSJ confirmed the massive cyber attack suffered by our Electoral System and that urged the entity to publish the final results.

Therefore, he points out that “accepts the decision and will comply with the order of the Electoral Chamber of the TSJ within the legal period.”

CNE statement on TSJ ruling

Venezuela Nicolás Maduro Moros, for the period 2025-2031. In the aforementioned decision, the Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of the Republic declared the Electoral Contentious Appeal admissible, based on the expert opinion carried out and verified in an unrestricted and unequivocal manner, and based on the report prepared by national and international electoral experts certified that
unobjectionable form the electoral material examined and categorically validated the results of the presidential election issued by the National Electoral Council.

Likewise, he confirmed the massive cyber attack suffered by our Electoral System and urged us to publish the final results as provided in Article 155 of the
Organic Law on Electoral Processes.

The Electoral Power, in compliance with the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Organic Law of the Supreme Court of Justice and the electoral regulations, abides by the decision and will comply within the legal period with the order of the Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice.
