CNE rejects UN statements on elections

“The content of this ‘report’ is a pamphletary document and its ‘expertise’ is absolutely destroyed in view of the poor and easily disproven arguments that they use to try to delegitimize the impeccable and transparent electoral process carried out on July 28.”the CNE reported.

In the opinion of the electoral body, The UN statement is part of an alleged political agenda against Venezuela“while mocking the trust placed in them by Member States.”

According to the UN panel of experts, “The CNE’s results management process did not comply with the basic transparency and integrity measures that are essential for holding credible elections”.

The group highlighted the omission of details in the resultsas well as the lack of follow-up to “national legal and regulatory provisions, and all established deadlines were not met”.
