Márquez assured in his official account on the social network Twitter that he submitted a “concrete proposal” before the plenary session of the authorities of the electoral entity, who will soon define a date to evaluate it and make a decision in this regard.
Today, August 16, I have consigned before the plenary session of the CNE the specific proposal for a Regulation for the exercise of suffrage in the case of Venezuelans residing abroad. It is now up to this body to define the time to deal with such an important matter. We continue to work.

“It is now up to this body to define the moment to deal with such an important matter. We continue to work,” said Márquez’s message.
The body in charge of electoral processes in Venezuela announced in previous days through the main rector, Roberto Picón, that it was working on proposals for regulations and procedures that facilitate the updating of the registry and the exercise of the vote by Venezuelans abroad.
