CNE ratifies reelection of Nicolás Maduro, without showing the minutes

CARACAS.- After five days of citizen protests against the result of the presidential elections as well as complaints from opponents of electoral fraud and persecution, the National Electoral Council (CNE) ratified the re-election of Nicolas Maduro.

He CNE issued a second bulletin on the election results in which it indicated that it had counted 96.87% of the voting records from polling stations across the country, without showing them.

According to the new figures, they gave victory to Maduro with 51.95% of the votes against 43.18% of Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia.

The same day that the CNE ratified Maduro’s reelection, the offices of the opposition party Come Venezuela were attacked by hooded men.

They caused damage and stole documents and equipment.
