CNE marks average of 38 seconds of voting after electoral simulation

This Monday, the president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Elvis Amoroso, presented a report on the simulation carried out on Sunday, June 30, highlighting that the average voting time per voter was 38 seconds.

“The time taken to carry out the simulation, for each voter, was calculated to be an average of 38 seconds, which is really fast, which demonstrates the speed of the automated voting system. All the technical and operational aspects established in the simulation were fulfilled with the expected effectiveness,” Amoroso stressed.

He also explained that international observers were present at all stages of the electoral trial, certifying the transparency and effectiveness of the electoral system.

He said that as of Monday, there are still observers in the places where the machine audits are being carried out and the materials are being prepared so that each of the observers present in the country can become familiar with them.

“It is of utmost importance to highlight the support of international observer missions, many of them present here, the Carter Center; the United Nations; the Council of Electoral Centers of Latin America and personalities related to elections in the 5 continents,” he said.

The CNE president stressed that citizen participation exceeded expectations, which led to the extension of voting hours in some polling stations until 9 and 11 p.m.

Average voting time is very short.

The government’s campaign kicks off in 70 cities and with a march in Caracas on June 4
