UN Panel Report! The authorities of the National Electoral Council (CNE) published a statement rejecting the preliminary conclusions of the Panel of Electoral Experts of the United Nations (UN), on the presidential process of July 28.
“The CNE repudiates the publication of the so-called report of the UN Panel of Electoral Experts on the electoral process in Venezuela on July 28, which is illegal, contrary to the principles of the United Nations, violating the terms of reference agreed upon with this Constitutional Power and, above all, riddled with lies and contradictions,” the statement said.

He added that the publication of the report was not within his functions and “demonstrates the perverse political intention of such dissemination,” he said.
He explains that the UN document is made up of fallacious and distorted arguments and that, according to the regulations, it betrays what was agreed with the electoral power. “The Panel of Experts is not an observation mission, and therefore, it will not issue any public pronouncement or judgment on the process or results.”
