These are the steps of the electoral calendar that remain to be completed:

– Audit of national totalization centers, July 26

The president of the CNE, Elvis Amoroso, assured that those who attended the activity held at the CNE warehouse III, located in Filas de Mariche in the state of Miranda, were able to verify the “reliability” of the machines.

“There is a full guarantee from the Venezuelan State that the voting process will be carried out quickly,” Amoroso said.

Pre-dispatch audit

According to the CNE, the pre-dispatch audit is a process that simulates the voting, counting, transmission and totaling of votes.

The objective of this activity is to verify that the voting choice is recorded on the receipt issued by the machines.

It is also verified that the data in the counting records and in the totalisation system are equal.

The vice president of the electoral body, Carlos Quintero, indicated in the note published by the CNE that up to now 10 audits have been carried out.

“This latest audit has two stages: the production of voting machines for each of the tables that will be set up across the country on July 28 and 10% of contingency machines,” Quintero said.

-They must review and visit the premises assigned for the operation of the electoral table and confirm that the location allows the use of the authorized voting system.

-Receive the electoral material and verify that it is delivered in the quantities specified in the corresponding minutes.

-Confirm that the electoral records, ballots, voting books and other electoral material correspond to the voting center and the assigned electoral table.

Members must appear at the polling station at 5:00 am on election day to form the electoral board.
