CNE clarifies when voting tables must close

When will the polling stations have to close? There are only three days left until the presidential elections. Since National Electoral Council (CNE) have already begun to distribute all the electoral material in the respective voting centers, since Wednesday night.

The journalist from the electoral source, Eugenio Martinezreported that the CNE published on the night of July 24, an annex to the Table Manual, which establishes the regulations to be followed during the presidential election at the voting centers.

In this publication, The CNE confirmed that the voting tables must close at 6:00 pm, unless there are voters in line.

Martínez also explained that the instruction to call the National Electoral Board (at 6:00 p.m.) to verify whether the tables can be closed has been expressly eliminated.

Installation of voting tables

This Thursday, July 25, the installation of the voting tables begins. It is important that the principal, alternate and reserve members of the table attend this activity with their respective credentials.

The CNE published last night (#24J) an annex to the Table Manual. The instruction to call the National Electoral Board (at 6:00pm) to verify whether the tables can be closed is expressly eliminated. It is confirmed that they must close at 6:00pm unless there are voters in line.
