The first affordable phone from ‘CMF by Nothing’ will be released on July 8, 2024
We have known for some time now that **Carl Pei wants to better compartmentalize Nothing’s catalog**, dedicating the efforts of the parent company to a more *premium* line with a higher profit margin. Pei, the popular manager and entrepreneur born in Beijing, China, knows how to do it. A few months ago, he introduced CMF as Nothing’s sub-brand to **focus on the most economical and affordable products** in the industry.
Of *CMF by Nothing*, we have already tested several products, such as their *true-wireless* headphones like the CMF Buds and CMF Buds Pro, in addition to the CMF by Nothing Watch Pro, which has **everything you need at the best possible price** in today’s market.
This will be, precisely, **the key to the first smartphone from *CMF by Nothing***, which is already in the works. The British manufacturer, known for its media handling, has already announced **an imminent presentation** which will take place next **Monday, July 8th**, preempting Samsung’s *Unpacked* event.
Knowing Carl Pei, we can expect a lot of *hype* around this launch, **numerous official leaks**, and a design focused on **offering the most at the best price**. We already have information about some hardware details and now also on **certain design elements that we can already see** in the first images.
Popular *leaker* Ishan Agarwal **has posted three photographs** on his X account (formerly Twitter) showing some details of the finish of this CMF by Nothing Phone 1. These images are published with the **high reliability** that characterizes his work:

From these images, we see that there will be a lot of color, and although we do not know yet if it will be possible to choose between **a wide palette of colors**, we can now confirm that there will be at least orange and black tones, with a polycarbonate finish that resembles **good quality and a touch of very modern industrial design**. I certainly liked it.
Additionally, leaks indicate **a rear photo module with a dual sensor**, along with a front camera located **centered behind a hole in the screen**, which will also hide the fingerprint reader.
CMF by Nothing Phone 1, everything we know
The design is minimalist, though, **leaving the surprises for the hardware**. We can expect a **very capable datasheet** and a **quality/price ratio that appears to be unbeatable**.
A **6.67-inch AMOLED screen** offering FHD+ 1,080p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate is expected, along with a **MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset**, 6 or 8 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded with microSD cards.
There’s also talk of a **50-megapixel main camera** supported by an additional sensor for depth calculation, a 16-megapixel front camera, and a **5,000 mAh battery with fast charging** up to 33 watts via cable.
While there aren’t many frills, it is all **expected to present a knockdown price**, which according to sources would be **around 200 euros** depending on markets and tariffs… *Now we just have to wait a few days to confirm it!*
