All Elite Wrestling celebrated his last PPV last night, AEW All Outwhere CM Punk managed to beat Jon Moxley to become the new World Champion of the company. However, there were no celebrations beyond those that might be seen on the ring, since in the subsequent press conference, the fighter made some comments that did not sit well with the executive vice presidents of the company.
CM Punk’s statements caused a stir in the AEW locker room and it was even commented that some talents had threatened to leave. That was not all, however, as journalist Sean Ross Sapp later reported a possible backstage altercation that ended in a alleged fight between CM Punk and Ace Steel with members of The Elite (without specifying which of them exactly).
Meanwhile, new details regarding what happened last night have come to light today. And it is that the Boxing / MMA / Pro Wrestling reporter, Steve Muehlhausen has reported that Matt and Nick Jackson confronted Punk regarding his comments and that he then punched at least one member of the Young Bucks.. All this would have happened while Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee answered questions from the media. At a certain moment, members of security ran out of the room, apparently following being alerted to what was happening between Punk and the Young Bucks.
“Sources: There was an altercation between CM Punk and The Young Bucks earlier Monday. The Bucks confronted Punk over his comments at the press conference. It got physical, with Punk throwing punches at at least one member of the Bucks.. We had to intervene to separate them.”
It is expected that details and information regarding the events in which the AEW World Champion was involved will continue to emerge following the press conference following All Out. Meanwhile, what we do know for sure is that Punk hassled several people backstage, and that there was some sort of backstage altercation. If Muehlhausen’s information is true, it remains to be seen if those involved will receive some kind of punishment from Tony Khan.
