“Cluster network” –

New details emerge about the Milan hacker network that was acting on commission and sneaking into everyone’s life for two years. The protagonists of the alleged association which aimed to provide or create illegal dossiers on companies and well-known faces “are subjects who enjoy high-level support, in various environments, including that of the mafia crime and that of the secret services, even foreigners, and who often they promise and boast of being able to intervene in investigations and trials, to block judicial initiatives”. The Milan prosecutor, Francesco De Tommasi, writes this in the arrest request. The investigations “have shown that the criminal network in which the via Pattari group (headquarters of the Equalize company, ed.) moves is very vast and structured, so to speak, ‘in a cluster’, in the sense that each member of the association and each external collaborator of the same have in turn further contacts, in the police force and in other public administrations, through which they can illicitly obtain confidential and sensitive data and information”.

In this sense, writes the public prosecutor under the DDA of Milan, “to therefore create a clear rift between the subjects for whom precautionary measures are requested and the many subjects, some not yet identified, who could provide them with some help to undermine the granitic circumstantial framework emerging from the investigations, precautionary custody must necessarily be applied”. The Milan Prosecutor’s Office will also carry out further investigations into the alleged sale of sensitive data and information abroad, to verify the possibility that they ended up in other countries. According to what we learn, “the Minister of the Interior, Matteo Piantedosi, has given a mandate to the Chief of Police, Vittorio Pisani, to acquire from the judicial authority the investigative documents useful for starting checks on hypothesized abusive access to the databases of the Ministry of the Interior or on the illicit use of the same”. Furthermore, on this front “a commission of specialists previously established by the owner of the Interior Ministry is already operating at the Interior Ministry also to define any further measures and procedures to protect the joint IT structures”.
