Abu Dhabi (AP) -England’s Chelsea reached the final of the Club World Cup by beating Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal 1-to-zero on Wednesday in Abu Dhabi. Belgium international striker Romelu Lukaku scored the only goal of the match in the 32nd minute.
The English team hit a date with Brazil’s Palmeiras, who beat Egypt’s Al Ahly 2-2 on Tuesday in the final scheduled for Saturday in the UAE capital.
Last season’s European champions Chelsea are aiming to become the third English team following Manchester United and Liverpool to win the trophy, having reached the final in 2012 and losing to Brazilian Corinthians.
