Thomas Tuchel and FC Bayern part ways after this season. The club from Munich announced this a few weeks ago. The German took over from Julian Nagelsmann last year and is now history in Munich again after just over a year.
Lots of speculation
Since this decision was made public, there has been a lot of speculation about the possible successor at Bayern. The ideal solution is therefore ex-player Xabi Alonso, who is currently on a master course in the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen. The Spaniard is also repeatedly linked to Liverpool FC.
That’s why Bayern club legend Mario Basler brought another candidate into play who is not only very well known in Austria. “I could easily imagine Ralph Hasenhüttl, who I find to be a great coach, who has a bit of Jürgen Klopp – just in terms of his facial features and the beard,” said Basler in the “ran” web show. The Styrian Hasenhüttl has previously trained, among others, RB Leipzig and Southampton.
