Sony seems to be preparing a way to increase its market share in cloud gaming, a segment currently dominated by Microsoft with Xbox Cloud Gaming. For this, the Japanese giant opened a total of 22 vacancies related to the development and implementation of on-demand games on PlayStation.

A hiring page discovered by The Verge on Tuesday (11) indicates that the Sony is looking for professionals to innovate its game streaming products. One of the positions offered is for the director of cloud product management, with explicit reference to its own cloud service. cloud gaming.

“Are you an innovator in the cloud streaming product space? Then you’d probably agree that cloud gaming is on its way to becoming a major part of the industry,” writes one of Sony’s application sheets.

In addition to a director of product management to lead the area, the entertainment giant is also looking for:

The elected officials will report to the Future Technology Group, the arm responsible for research and development of technologies for Sony’s virtual reality headsets, controllers and software.

Now, the division also appears to be working with the company’s cloud gaming service, which was formerly known as PlayStation Now but ended up just becoming a component of the pricier PlayStation Plus subscription plans.
