Asunción, IP Agency.- Representatives of the company MC Confections, of Brazilian origin, announced the expansion of their businesses in Paraguay, through the installation of an industrial hub for the textile sector that will be built in the city of Minga Guazú and within which their own premises will operate. The company estimates an initial investment of USD 5,000,000.
The announcement was made during a technical visit carried out by the Executive Secretary of the CNIME, Natalia Cáceres and technicians from the MIC, who developed a work agenda with a tour of the firm’s facilities and the property of the future industrial park, which also included with the accompaniment of Diego Ríos; communal chief of Minga Guazú.
It should be noted that the new industrial park, which will begin operations at the end of 2025, will have more than 170,000 square meters of construction on a 240,000-square-meter property, and plans to have a nursery, technical school and a supermarket, projecting to generate jobs for more of 5,000 people from the area.
In this sense, MC’s industrial warehouse plans to occupy more than 7,000 square meters and expand its direct workforce, which currently has 453 formal jobs.
This investment project becomes relevant, since it seeks to continue promoting industrial development in the department of Alto Paraná, and therefore has the support of the Minga Guazú mayor’s office, which is focused on promoting and strengthening this type of ventures.
MC Confections in Paraguay
The MC Confections company dedicated to the textile sector has operated in Paraguay under the maquila regime since 2020, and since their arrival in the national territory, they have invested USD 5,000,000, generating more than 453 formal jobs.
It specializes in the manufacturing of all types of garments for important brands of Brazilian origin, including Hering, C&A and Renner, where its production volume is 200,000 units monthly, and exported directly to the Brazilian market. In addition, it is worth noting that, during 2023, the firm has exported more than USD. 7,500,000.
