The Houston Avenue Bar & Grill restaurant in Lebourgneuf is closing its doors, laying off 32 employees.
Co-owner Vanessa Jacques confirmed to Journal that the establishment had been closed since Monday evening.
“I called the employees one by one to tell them, it’s not easy,” said the 34-year-old entrepreneur.
To explain the closure, Ms. Jacques points to the “dramatic” increase in products and food as well as the sharp drop in traffic in recent months.
Mrs. Jacques had acquired the restaurant on April 1st.
