Close end in Medicine, the surprise that was not in Humanities and other battles

In the Faculty of Medicine, one of the most competitive scenarios took place in the student elections of the National University of La Plata (UNLP) that ended yesterday. There, in the last ballot of the closing day, Remediar (JUP), retained the government of the students and the majority of the faculty, before the front made up of Vientos de Abajo (Patria Grande) and Unite (CEPA-PCR), which kept the counselor for the minority. But the triumph of that sector of Peronism aligned with councilor Guillermo “Nano” Cara was by less than 300 votes, when in the 2019 elections the distance that separated one and the other was about 1,500.

That narrow victory in 60 and 120, allowed the JUP to keep the only Center in its power, after the fall in Computer Science and having been just 50 votes short of adding Humanities: in the faculty located in the exBIM III, the conduction will continue in hands of the Aule (La Mella); La Jauretche (JUP), after breaking with Cámpora, will continue with the minority of the cloister.

La Mella, which is called June 26 in Social Work, also retained the government of the students in that faculty, in which Miles managed to enter the counselor for the minority.

Another that sang twice was La Cámpora: in alliance with Miles, it retained Arts (the minority went to La Mella) and Journalism, where La Walsh extended its hegemony for years and Fandango (La Mella) retained the minority. In the academic territory of the now director of the Buenos Aires Cultural Institute, Florencia Saintout, third place went to La Nueva Generación, a spinoff from La Walsh that competed for the first time in the Forest faculty and reports to the JUP sector headed by Marcel Aguilera, Sergio Berni’s official in the Ministry of Security today confronted the hosts of Saintout.
