The British company “Clex” announced the manufacture of “real” keyboard cases for iPhone phones, inspired by the keyboards of classic BlackBerry phones.
On the sidelines of its participation in the Consumer Electronics Products Show in Las Vegas, Clix said that connecting the clipboard and the full physical keyboard to the iPhone will be easy, and will provide a more tactile and smoother typing experience.
The Clix’s keyboard is located at the bottom of the case, and does not cover any part of the screen at all, but instead increases the length of the phone, allowing a full view of what is on the screen even while typing.
This keyboard connects to the iPhone through the charger port, whether Lightning or USB-C, and also allows the phone to be charged as usual.
The case does not have Bluetooth connectivity, which means it is not battery operated and does not need to be charged.
The case has the ability to turn on the backlight, if you use it at night or in the dark.
Through it, you can use a set of keyboard shortcuts if you want to navigate your device without using the touch screen.
To scroll down web pages, for example, you can press the space bar. However, its keys feel quite small, and you may find yourself having trouble typing if you have larger hands and fingers.
“Clix” indicated that the new keyboard is currently available on the company’s website, for up to $139, but indicated that shipping operations will not begin until the beginning of next February.
