JAMES Harden, who was forced to be traded by the Philadelphia 76ers to the Los Angeles Clippers last November, received a bitter pill following the Clippers lost to the Sixers in the first meeting between the two NBA clubs following the exchange, Monday (25/3).

Tobias Harris and Tyrese Maxey both scored 24 points and Cameron Payne added 23 as the Sixers posted a 121-107 win at home to the Clippers.

The Sixers, who are still missing 2023 NBA MVP Joel Embiid due to injury, took the lead from the start of the match and successfully overcame the Clippers’ comeback attempt.

Harden scored 12 points from making 5 of his 13 attempts. The 34-year-old former NBA MVP added 14 assists.

Harden was disappointed following not being traded by the Sixers early last season and then became part of a seven-player swap just days into the NBA season.

Kawhi Leonard and Norman Powell led the Clippers’ scoring with 20 points each while Paul George added 18 points.

The Sixers now post a win-loss record of 39-32, just one point behind the Indiana Pacers for sixth place and the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The Clippers posted a win-loss record of 44-16 to rank fourth in the Western Conference. (AFP/Z-1)
