Climate change has direct and negative repercussions on the daily life of 84% of the Tunisian population, according to the results of the first African edition of the 2022 survey carried out by the European Investment Bank (EIB).
Published Tuesday on its official website and relayed by the local press, it shows that 52% of Tunisians think that climate change, as well as environmental damage, have effects on income or even livelihoods.
To be able to adapt to the repercussions of climate change, 43% of Tunisians said they reacted, once morest 57% for the average African.
Among these reactions, specifies the EIB at the end of its investigation, figure projects of investments in technologies which aim at saving water to attenuate the impact of the dryness. For 83% of Tunisians, once morest 76% for the average African, priority should be given to renewable energies, once morest 7% in favor of fossil fuels.
