The Environmental and Cultural Association of Aliki “Agios Nikolaos”, in co-organization with the Region of Western Greece and Aegialia and under the auspices of the Municipality of Aegialia, the Deputy Mayor of Public Relations-Communication-Etiquette-Related Events of the Municipality of Aegialia, the Municipal Community of Aegian, organizes on the 3rd Competition – Photo exhibition with the theme: “Aegialia… Click in Moments”.
The purpose of the competition is to give the citizens the opportunity to cast their eyes on a dreamy environment of the Municipality of Aegialia, to transmit a message of positive energy and to re-appreciate, vitally important, beauties, conveying to the visitors of the exhibition our love for the place . An opportunity to highlight natural beauty, to raise awareness of the respect we must have for nature and to broaden the horizon where art interacts with its audience. The three best photos of the competition will be awarded, after being evaluated by a committee of distinguished members knowledgeable about the subject of the photo.
All photography enthusiasts (amateurs and professionals) citizens over the age of 18 can take part in the exhibition. Subjects can be imaged from any medium, such as a camera, smartphone or
drones etc.
Expressions of interest will start from the posting of this announcement and the final date of the competition will be Thursday, November 14, 2024. Each competitor can participate from one (1) to three (3) color or black and white photographs in the specifications are defined below.

The photographs will be exhibited on the ground floor of the Panagiotopoulos Mansion on Mitropoleos Street in Aigios, with the inauguration taking place on Saturday, November 16, 2024, 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and the exhibition will run until Sunday, November 17, 2024, 11:00 am. to 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., where at 7:00 p.m. the awards for the best photos will be held.
TERMS OF PARTICIPATION IN THE COMPETITION
*All citizens over the age of eighteen (18) are eligible to participate in the competition.
*The theme of the competition is Aegialia, environment, place, sea, man,
unique moments!
*Photos and their copyrights must belong to the photographer, must not violate provisions of the law and must not be offensive or immoral in content.
*Photos submitted to the contest must not have been published in any other public contest.
*Each participant expressly consents to the use of his name and photo, without any monetary consideration, in the context of this competition.
*All photos are accepted into the contest, regardless of type or
medium (mobile or camera) as long as it is within the subject.
*Photos must be submitted printed on photographic paper from a photo studio or printer or photocopier (not on plain paper or printer) size 20 x 30 cm, or 20 x 25 cm.
To NOT write a name, artistic name, number or logo and to be delivered in person, after telephone communication with the President of the organizing Association, Mr. Nikos Papadopoulos on the phone 6936938511.
*The jury will be made up of three well-known and experienced fellow citizens. The committee’s judgment is final and does not require justification.
*Duration of the contest is defined as the time period from the publication of the present, until Thursday, November 14, 2024, the last date of delivery of the photos. It is expressly stated that after its expiry
competition, entries are automatically void.
*The awarding of the photos will take place on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. Photos that do NOT meet the above conditions will be rejected from the competition but will be exhibited in a separate space, without
no rights to the competition as a whole photo exhibition, since the event consists of two parts, the Photo Competition and the Photo Exhibition.
*Members of the Board of Directors of the organizing Association are excluded from the Photo Competition.
