Cleveland has already surprised everyone by selecting power forward Anthony Bennett (UNLV) with its first pick. Nobody saw it coming and the rumors rather announced a pivot, Nerlens Noel or Alex Len.
Orlando, for its part, selected Victor Oladipo (Indiana) while Washington chose Otto Porter (Georgetown). Charlotte, with her fourth choice, chose Cody Zeller (Indiana) while Phoenix bet on Alex Len (Maryland) rather than Nerlens Noel (Kentucky). The Kentucky pivot was drafted by New Orleans then traded to Philadelphia.
Three French people selected
Dallas sends Kelly Olynyk to Boston for the 16th pick and two future second-round draft picks. Rudy Gobert, selected by Denver in 27th position, was then sent to Utah while Livio Jean-Charles was chosen by San Antonio in 28th place.
As for Joffrey Lauvergne, he will join Evan Fournier in Denver, since the Nuggets recovered the 55th pick from the Grizzlies in the “swap” between Kostas Koufos and Darrell Arthur
