The program will be rich and ambitious for the French, in Beijing, Wednesday February 16. The slalomer Clément Noël will enter the track and is one of the big favorites for victory. A revelation of the last Games, it has since taken on another dimension and dreams of gold. Later, the female biathletes will have a revenge to take after two last missed individual events.

first round. The time has come for the Vosgien Clément Noël. Four years after Pyeongchang and his fourth place, the Frenchman has become a leader in his discipline. With nine World Cup victories including one this winter in Val d’Isère, the Frenchman will have to find the solution to line up two good runs. He will be accompanied by Alexis Pinturault, always delicate with his shoulder.

Semi-finals. This is one of the expected events for French cross-country skiing. Uninhibited after the bronze medal on the relay obtained earlier, Hugo Lapalus and Richard Jouve will present themselves as serious outsiders and could play the leading roles. On the women’s side, a place in the final would be a good thing with Mélissa Gal and Léna Quintin aligned.
8:45 am: biathlon – ladies’ relay to follow on France 3
Rifles ready, spatulas protruding, the French biathletes will present themselves on this relay as favorites. Alongside the Norwegians and Swedes, they should play the leading roles. Will be in the running: Anaïs Bescond, Anaïs Chevalier-Bouchet, Justine Braisaz-Bouchet and Julia Simon. In 2018, the French torchbearers won the bronze medal.
