Nearly 1,500 kilos of waste recovered from the harbor
The 30e edition of Cleaning the Lake brought tires, bicycles and credit cards to the surface.

Entire bags filled with aluminium, glass and plastic, a bicycle frame invaded by crustaceans, a rusty shopping cart following its stay in the water. More than 1450 kilos of waste were extracted from the lake this weekend in Geneva. On Saturday and then Sunday, hundreds of volunteers probed the depths of Lake Geneva, surveyed the rocks and the shores to collect the garbage abandoned over the months. A balance sheet a little less heavy than last year (when we collected more than 1800 kilos of waste), but higher than the two previous years.
