Claudia Sheinbaum: “We are heirs of the best heroic deeds”

MEXICO CITY (El Universal).— When remembering the Battle of Puebla, the presidential candidate of the “Let’s Keep Making History” collation, Claudia Sheinbaum, said that while the opposition is the heir of those conservatives who, in the 19th century, went to ask that an emperor come to Mexico, “those of us in the 4T are heirs of the best historical deeds of the country.”

At a rally on the esplanade of the Coyoacán mayor’s office, Claudia expressed that “those from the ‘prian’ are coordinated by very corrupt people, including Claudio which classified them as “heirs of the conservatives of the Battle of Puebla.”

“What is relevant today is whose heirs we are and whose heirs they are,” he asserted.

The official candidate said that “those of the fourth transformation are heirs of Miguel Hidalgo, Josefa Ortiz de Domínguez, Leona Vicario, Benito Juárez, Zaragoza, of the Mexican Revolution, Emiliano Zapata, Francisco I. Madero, Francisco Villa, of General Lázaro Cárdenas “, and stated that in 2024 it will be necessary to choose, as in 2018, “to return to the conservative past, corruption, privileges, or continue along the path of independence, freedoms and democracy.”

“We need to vote for our movement deputies because we are going to change the Infonavit law,” he stressed. “This June 2 we are going to see the destiny of the nation, each one of us has to gather ten others, let’s all go and vote together,” he added.

Later, the Morena, PT and Verde candidate led another rally at the Venustiano Carranza mayor’s office, where Venezuelan and Colombian migrants were seen, who said they were invited by “a lady who is a supporter of Morena.”
