MEXICO CITY.- Claudia Sheinbaumvirtual president-elect, assured that she will complete the pending issues of Virtual Trends and the Interoceanic Train.
To complete both projects in one or two years, he promised an investment of 83 billion pesos, after a meeting with Morena governors in the south and southeast of Mexico.
This was announced at a press conference with Mara Lezamagovernor of Quintana Roo y Solomon Jara Cruz representative of Layda Sansores, governor of Campeche.
The Morena supporters were also present at the meeting. Joaquín Díaz Menaelected governor of Yucatan; Eduardo Ramirez, newly elected in Chiapas y Rocio Nahleelected governor of Veracruz.
The Maya Train will receive another million-dollar investment
This Thursday, Sheinbaum reiterated her commitment to consolidate the Maya Train project, promoted by the president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.
The former Head of Government estimated that an investment of 48 billion pesos is required to fully complete both the Mayan Train and the Interoceanic Train.
Regarding the Maya Train, he said that it is intended that in a maximum of two years it will also be a freight train that uses the same tracks and already with the additional works in charge of the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena).
It is also suggested that it has a connection to Port ProgressYucatán, which will require an investment of 35 billion pesos.
Regarding the Interoceanic Train, he said that two lines are planned to be completed, one that connects with Guatemala and another that reaches Two Mouths, Tabasco.
This requires an investment of 48 billion pesos.
“The projects that we have proposed as priorities are the completion of the Mayan Train as a freight train…and the completion of the Interoceanic […] We are determining whether it can be completed in one year or if it will take two years,” he reiterated.

Accompanied by the elected Morena governors, Sheinbaum said that they were able to present to her the works they consider necessary for their states.
However, it will be analyzed which ones could be in the Economic Package 2025 “A meeting has already begun with the next secretaries in order to develop it.”
“We will continue to support the southeast,” he stressed.
The Morena member pointed out that there are works related to water that can be done together, such as the sanitation of rivers, as well as the so-called Wellbeing Poles on the southern border.
“We will continue to support the southeast, not because we are going to develop trains to the north-central region will we abandon the southeast. Investment in the southeast will continue, as will the development of all the well-being hubs,” he said.
Claudia Sheinbaum added that she will promote a series of important mobility projects for each of the states.
