Claudia Sheinbaum attacks the opposition for logo

IZÚCAR DE MATAMOROS (El Universal).— Morena’s presidential candidate, Claudia Sheinbaum, assured that the opposition is so desperate that it now illegally uses the logo of the National Electoral Institute (INE) to warn that social programs cannot be removed.

In that sense, he said that if the opposition comes to power it will not defend social programs out of conviction, contrary “to the fourth transformation that thinks that older adults are heroes of the country.”

“Now they are so desperate that they made some spectacular posters that have the signature of the INE, and they say: ‘Social programs cannot be removed.’ People don’t believe them anymore. Didn’t they say: ‘The INE is not touched’? Who is using the INE logo illegally? If they come (to power) will they be able to defend social programs? Well, if they don’t do it out of conviction, it’s the opposite for us, we think, for example, that older adults are heroes of the country.”

At the start of the campaign of Alejandro Armenta, candidate for governor of Puebla, Claudia criticized that the opposition said that giving social programs to people was welfare, and that now they say they are in favor of them, but that no one believes them.

“We do it out of conviction, we defend the universal pension for the elderly, we are going to guarantee its increase every year; also the scholarship for young people, the support for people with disabilities (…)”, added Claudia Sheinbaum.
