LONDON, Feb. 23, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — One of the UK’s leading supercar rental companies has just launched a cryptocurrency payment system for renting the world’s most impressive supercars. Customers can now choose to pay for one of 100 supercars from 28 luxury brands using Bitcoin or Ethereum, as well as GBP. One of the cars available at its London, Manchester and Edinburgh showrooms is the £2.4 million Bugatti Chiron, which costs £200,000 a day to hire, or 220.75 ETH, or 11,696 BTC.
Classic Parade founder and owner Andrew Brown said: “Our clientele are international and want to be able to rent our supercars without the hassle and cost of exchange fees and transfer fees. Many of our clients have a large part of their wealth in cryptocurrencies, so it makes sense to offer them this option. Transactions are immediate and we can also accept cryptocurrency deposits. Afterwards, it is also easy to return the deposit after the rental period expires.”
Cryptocurrency payments are made to Classic Parade’s secure wallet and all necessary measures are taken to ensure the security of financial transfers. Once the funds have been transferred and the rental agreement signed, the supercar is collected from or delivered to the customer’s UK address.
Andrew Brown added: “We do have to go through the usual identity checks required for car rentals, but these are easy to process and it gets a lot easier with each repeat transaction. In this way, we can also offer proper “know your customer” checks.” One of Classic Parade’s most popular cars to rent in the summer is the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder, which costs £1,100 per day to rent, or 1.21 ETH or 0.064 BTC. Andrew Brown stated: “We are expecting huge interest from cryptocurrency investors in the coming months to lease our amazing supercars. Many investors are relatively young and want to show off their wealth, so interest in supercars is very strong in this market.”
