Clashes erupt on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense announced that “border clashes with Armenia have erupted as a result of the “acts of the Armenian subversive groups,” and indicated that “the Armenian army is undertaking a massive escalation,” according to the Russian “Sputnik” agency.

In this context, the Armenian Ministry of Defense stated that the Azerbaijani armed forces launched a series of artillery shelling on the border cities of Armenia, noting that “the Azerbaijani armed forces also used drones in the bombing.”

According to the Armenian media, the villages of Feren-Shurza, Al-Kut, Mets Masrik, Sotek and Nurabak were under fire in the Jigar Konik region.

Eyewitnesses stated, according to what was reported by “Sputnik”, that the Armenian border cities that were subjected to the Azerbaijani bombardment in Armenia are Goris, Kaban, Vardenis, Jermuk.
