The placement of a fence for the security of the area led to more tension.
The massive protests outside the house of the vice president of Argentina, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, led to clashes with the Police this Saturday.
The protesters threw down security fences in the vicinity of the building where their residence is located, in the Recoleta neighborhood, which caused the security forces to intervene with hydrant trucks to disperse the crowd.
According to preliminary reports, five soldiers were injured in the clashes and at least four protesters were arrested. Likewise, a journalist received a blow while the Peronist militancy advanced on the police cordon.
Within the framework of this escalation of violence, it is expected that in the next few hours the Minister of Government, Jorge Macri, and the head of Justice and Security, Marcelo D’Alessandro, will provide details of the judicial situation, following that Kirchnerism present four amparos before the Justice for the security operation mounted in front of the vice president’s home.
I express my strongest rejection of the institutional violence unleashed by the City Government in the face of a massive demonstration of citizens expressing themselves freely and in democracy.

Specifically, the complainants oppose the decision of the Government of the city of Buenos Aires to fence off the area and seek to guarantee them the free exercise of expressing their support for the policy.
The Government of the capital ordered this Saturday the fencing of the area where Cristina Kirchner lives, since the concentrations and political protests disturbed public order.
Since dawn, a perimeter was established made up of Police officers and vehicles, whose objective is to prevent the approach of militants and opponents to the area where his apartment is located.
“Repudiation”
Argentine President Alberto Fernández questioned the police operation and assured that, far from providing peace of mind, the agents have generated a climate of insecurity and intimidation.
In this sense, he expressed his repudiation of institutional violence and called for an end to the harassment once morest the vice president.
“It is imperative that the harassment of the vice president cease and guarantee the right to free expression and demonstration of citizens (…) Likewise, I urge the opposition leadership to cease provocative and violent expressions and allow all actors to express themselves responsibly to guarantee social peace,” Fernandez wrote in a thread on Twitter.
The mobilizations and meetings in front of the home of Fernández de Kirchner occur following, last Tuesday, prosecutors Diego Luciani and Sergio Mola requested a 12-year prison sentence for the former president, as well as disqualification from holding office and the confiscation of his assets, for his alleged participation in an illicit association that defrauded the State for 12 years for an amount of one billion dollars.

Since then, the entire government, from President Alberto Fernández to ministers and officials of all ranks, have unwaveringly supported Fernández de Kirchner.
Even the presidents of Bolivia, Colombia, Honduras and Mexico have spoken in his favor.
Alberto Fernández questioned this week the task of prosecutor Diego Luciani and assured that Fernández de Kirchner “did not commit any of the crimes attributed to him.”
Likewise, he made reference “to the existence of a ‘judicial and media persecution’ once morest the vice president”. His statements led to a strong campaign once morest him by the political, media and judicial opposition that includes requests for impeachment to remove him.
