Claro launches broadband internet with a speed of 750 Mbps and new Wi-Fi 6 modem

Operator Claro announced the launch of a new broadband internet option. This is the plan with speed of 750 Mbps, an intermediate package between the speeds of 500 Mb/s and 1 Gb/s, which were already offered by the company.

According to Claro, the new plan has an upload speed of up to 50 Mb/s and includes a new modem with Wi-Fi 6 support. The 750 Mb/s package can already be purchased on Claro’s website. The price varies according to the state searched.

The company also communicated the start of sales of its new Wi-Fi 6 modem. The recently launched router is now available, at no additional cost, for customers with options for plans with 750 Mbps and 1Gbps of speed.

The Wi-Fi 6 standard promises to deliver a new connectivity experience in homes and businesses, with up to 2x more speed and greater coverage of the Wi-Fi signal, ensuring more stability and a greater number of simultaneously connected devices.

Something that stands out is that the nominal upload speed of the 750 Mb/s plan is only 50 Mb/s. This number is half of what Claro offers in the 500 Mb/s plan. Some competitors also promise half the download speed.

Claro’s new plan is competitive with Vivo Fibra, which sells 700 Mb/s internet for R$200 per month. However, the operator has a lower cost-benefit ratio than TIM Ultrafibra, which has a 1 Gb/s plan with a monthly fee of R$ 151.90.
