Clarissa Molina is splashed by the controversy between La Materialista and Raúl de Molina, boyfriend defends her

Santo Domingo. DR

The Dominican presenter Clarissa Molina was touched by the controversy surrounding Raúl de Molina and La Materialista, figures who became the center of media attention following the presenter denied the Dominican urban exponent a kiss during the Premios Juventud delivery.

However, the Univisión presenter has someone to defend her because, in addition, she was the cause of the misunderstanding. Puerto Rican businessman Vicente Saavedra, fiancé of the Dominican beauty, never imagined that posting an emoji in the publication of a photograph of Raúl de Molina, the night of the Premios Juventud celebration, it would lead him into a maze of negative comments, and even threats.

Saavedra shared a “fire emoji” on the networks of the journalist from “El Gordo y la Flaca”, which is used to praise someone on exchange platforms. “It’s also jargon to describe something that’s getting easier to understand.”

This was enough for some people or followers of the Dominican urban exponent Yameiry Infante Honoret, known as “La Materialista”, to assume or interpret that Saavedra was supporting the attitude assumed by Molina, on the carpet of the Premios Juventud, by refusing to greet a kiss and a hug to La Materialista, a situation that has caused a tsunami of criticism around the singer and the Univisión television presenter.

The truth is that the publication of the “emoji fire” in Molina’s photograph it happened many hours before the controversy exploded.

“Suddenly I see between 300 and 400 tags, responding to this emoji post where I was attacked, not only me, but also my girlfriend Clarissa. They write me a lot of ugly things and when I see that they also say ugly things regarding Clarissa, I made the mistake of responding to some of them by DM (direct message) ”, Saavedra explains when talking by phone with editors of LISTÍN DIARIO.

The businessman, who produced the films “Que León 1” and “Que León 2” in Santo Domingo, and who was also manager of the singer Ozuna for more than seven years, denounced that he received strong threats and that they even warned him not to He will continue with the wedding plans with Clarissa and what he hopes to do in Dominican territory.

Saavedra regretted that this type of situation might get out of control and cause an unfortunate incident. “We must be more empathic with all human beings, regardless of race, religion or nationality. The misuse and hate they promote on social media is a very dangerous weapon.”

“Changuería”, clarification

During the exchange of direct messages that Saavedra had with some of his attackers, and in which he stated that Molina’s attitude had nothing to do with race, color, nationality or preferences, but rather because of a matter that must be respected due to the care that “El Gordo” has with covid, he also said, in a very Puerto Rican jargon, that it was all a “changuería”, that those who protested regarding it were “monkeys”.

In Puerto Rico, when a person is called a “chango” it is not at all derogatory, Saavedra explained, and that the term is used in a humorous way to someone who is easily irritated.

Apparently the use of the term “chango”, which in the Dominican Republic refers to monkey or chimpanzee, was the spark that fanned the flame of controversy.

Faced with the controversy, Saavedra used this medium to apologize to the Dominicans who felt offended: “I made the mistake, that despite knowing the medium and being an artistic entrepreneur, I spoke like Clarissa Molina’s annoying fiancé. At that time she might not understand why, in her country, the Dominicans attacked her so much. I did not understand why they bothered with the alleged offense they did to La Materialista, however, they offend Clarissa with very ugly words.

Then he added: “I apologize to the Dominicans because being a professional I used a very Puerto Rican term like chango, with which some felt offended. I regret everything that happened because my girlfriend is Dominican, part of my family lives in the DR, I frequently visit the country and have produced two successful Dominican films, Que León 1 and 2, starring Ozuna and Clarissa, and directed by Frank Perozo.”

Apologies. The urban music exponent La Materialista accepted the apologies that Raúl de Molina offered her following rejecting her during the red carpet of Premios Juventud. The Dominican admitted that the attitude of the presenter of the program “El gordo y la flaca” (Univisión) made her feel bad, but that she understands his position and the moments of health crisis that exist due to Covid-19, in which to preserve health is the most important. “I understand and thank Molina for extending his apology, which I accept with the humility that characterizes me,” he said.

Invitation. La Materialista also valued the invitation made to her by the production of the television space to participate in her program this Wednesday, when publicly “they would extend the apology in a personal way and thus settle the misunderstanding.
